Greetings (and Eid Mubarak!)

I hope that you missed your "Interfaith Events" mailing this month. I was unable to send out the December edition due to health complications which have arisen.

I will be going in later this week for tests and surgery on a valve in my heart. While this is serious surgery, it is done frequently and is relatively low risk. If all goes well, a number of health issues I have had recently will be alleviated.

Due to the recovery time from surgery, I may not be able to put out the January issue either, but as soon as I am able I'll be back, working on strengthening our interreligious connections here in Silicon Valley.

Don't forget this coming Saturday's "Make a World of Difference" conference at Santa Clara University (details at www.carrythevision.org). Also, keep an eye out for a possible multifaith celebration in connection with Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday in January.
