Creating a New Multifaith Organization
Please join us for the next general gathering of those interested in creating a new multifaith organization for the South Bay.

[map]Our guests for this meeting will be Rabbi Jay Miller of the Peninsula Clergy Network and Rev. Carol Hovis of the Marin Interfaith Council. They will share from their experience in creating and directing significant interfaith groups in their areas. There will also be a progress update from the Planning Committee. Any interested religious leaders are welcome.

Conversation with Dr. Subba Rao
Dr Subba Rao, founder of the National Youth project in India, was an active participant in Gandhi's non-violent movement for Indian independence, and has carried on Gandhi's tradition by promoting religious and communal harmony in India through youth camps and song since the 1950's. He is known in India as "The Living Spirit of Mahatma Gandhi." He is a regular visitor to the annual Gandhi Youth Camp in Northern California.

Meeting with the Dalai Lama in October
The Gyuto community of Tibetan Buddhist monks here in San Jose is sponsoring a special visit by the Dalai Lama on Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Members of the local interreligious community are working on an interreligious gathering in conjunction with the visit of His Holiness. Tickets will go on sale to the public on July 20, 2010. Details of the visit can be found on the Gyuto Center website. More information on the interreligious gathering will be available at Interfaith Space website as it is announced.
